Job summary

Loungers plc's Martello Lounge is hiring a Junior Sous Chef to support the Head Chef and Sous Chef, helping the team deliver great shifts and ensuring every dish leaves the pass to spec.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Junior Sous Chef or Senior Chef seeking progression.
• Reliable, punctual and fully committed.
• Experience with fresh ingredients and strong kitchen skills.
• Team player who leads from the front and cares about food.
• Self-motivated and able to work at pace with limited supervision.
• Strong knowledge of allergens and food safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Support Head Chef and Sous Chef to deliver great shifts and ensure prep is done to spec.
• Maintain a clean, well-organised kitchen and uphold high food standards.
• Own your section, manage prep, par, cleanliness and hygiene.
• Follow allergen processes and ensure kitchen compliance and safety.
• Support and help newer chefs develop their skills and confidence.
• Know dish specs and ensure every plate leaves the pass to spec.
