Job summary

Hand Picked Hotels’ Brandshatch Place Hotel & Spa in Kent is seeking a Junior Sous Chef to join a high‑performing kitchen team. The role is full-time, 40 hours per week across 5 days, with weekends on a rota.

The salary is £38,493 per annum plus a share of service charge and colleague benefits. You will support the Head Chef and peers in preparing high‑quality dishes, ensuring presentation and flavour meet brand standards while contributing to private dining and events.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or in a similar kitchen role, ideally within a quality hotel or restaurant environment.
• Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and a genuine passion for high standards, learning and development.

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of an exceptional culinary experience, ensuring dishes reflect quality, care and seasonal flair.
• Assist with food preparation and service.
• Maintain high standards of presentation and flavour.
• Supervise sections and assist with stock control and food safety.
• Contribute to menu preparation for private dining and events.
