Job summary

The Wayfarer in Stone is hiring a Junior Sous Chef to join our kitchen team. You’ll work alongside the Head Chef and Sous Chef, running sections, maintaining high standards and starting to build leadership skills on the floor.

We offer part-time hours (32 per week) at up to £14 per hour, with a total package around £29,120 per year. This is a stepping-stone into kitchen management within a welcoming gastropub environment.

Qualifications

• Strong chef de partie or junior sous experience.
• Calm, organised and great with people.
• Passion for food and high standards.
• Hungry to learn and progress to Sous Chef.

Responsibilities

• Running sections and supporting the pass during busy services
• Cooking our menus to spec, every time
• Helping to train and support chefs and KPs
• Getting involved in ordering, stock and food safety
