About you:

We are looking for a Junior Merchandiser to join our growing Merchandising and Planning function in our largest category, dresses. Reporting into the Senior Merchandiser, you'll play a key role in ensuring the continued success and growth across our varied product categories and ranges.

You will be confident, organised, and able to prioritise, be analytical and passionate about our product ranges, and be eager to learn and develop and grow within the role, and be fully comfortable in a growing, fast paced environment.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Weekly trade review of sales, stock and margin performance identifying opportunities and risk.
  • Ongoing review of performance to identify missed opportunity and minimize risk through trading & commitment reviews.
  • Suggesting markdown and promotional activities to maximize profit whilst driving sell thru.
  • Combine lessons learnt and future opportunities to support in seasonal strategy for product areas, alongside buying and design and senior merchandiser.
  • Working with buying & design to build and trade commercial ranges that drive profit, and reduce MD risk.
  • Ensure ranges are consistently reviewed ahead of and in season to rebalance and trade, to maximize performance potential.
  • Management of department line cards to ensure availability on key styles.
  • Planning and reforecasting category WSSIs to ensure plans are being met, identifying any possible terminal risk and ensuring stock levels are controlled. Presenting plans to Senior Management alongside the Senior Merchandiser.
  • Analyse historical sales patterns and trends, using findings to make informed and strategic trading decisions.
  • Collating information for sign off packs, preparing for seasonal range and buy sign offs together with senior merchandiser.
  • Working collaboratively with ecom and marketing team to ensure product go live and marketing campaigns support optimizing sales & trade potential.
  • Coaching and development of Merchandising Admin Assistant (MAA) helping them to manage their day to day tasks whilst helping with their learning and progression.
  • Managing critical path alongside buying team, attending weekly calls with suppliers.
  • Managing intake with logistics team and warehouse, prioritizing intake into the business and forecasting accurate intake levels.
