Junior IT Support Analyst

Clarke Energy is looking for a Junior IT Support Analyst to join our dynamic IT team, providing first-class support to users across the UK and internationally. Be the First Line of Tech Support

As a Junior IT Support Analyst, you’ll be the first point of contact for resolving user issues, configuring devices, and ensuring our IT systems operate efficiently. Working closely with the wider IT team, you’ll deliver high-quality support across the Clarke Group while gaining hands‑on experience with hardware, software, and network infrastructure.

This role offers a unique mix of technical challenge, user interaction, and international exposure—ideal for someone eager to learn and grow in a fast‑paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide responsive support to users via phone, email, and in person
  • Diagnose and resolve desktop and laptop issues, including off‑site repairs
  • Build, configure, and test workstations, laptops, and mobile devices
  • Support remote users with mobile connectivity and VPN access
  • Manage new starter setups and leaver procedures
  • Ensure backups of laptops, desktops, and personal folders are maintained
  • Deploy and maintain Group Standard Operating Environments using Windows Deployment Server
  • Assist with LAN, WAN, and VPN connectivity troubleshooting
  • Update and maintain the IT asset register
  • Document IT processes and create clear user guides
  • Administer and repair mobile communication devices
  • Support IT equipment purchasing during staff holidays
  • Uphold Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality standards in all work
  • Keep workspaces clean, organised, and secure
Essential Requirements
  • Degree in IT or a closely related subject
  • Minimum 2 years experience on an IT Helpdesk with strong customer service focus
  • Understanding of PC builds, rebuilds, and configuration
  • Familiarity with Microsoft products and PC hardware setup
  • Strong communication skills clear, helpful, and user‑friendly
  • Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure
  • Logical problem‑solving and decision‑making skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and time management
  • Willingness to take initiative and responsibility
  • Flexible, adaptable, and committed to continuous improvement
Desirable
  • Microsoft certification (e.g., MTA, MCP, or equivalent)
