Job summary

The Lanes Group plc is recruiting for a mobile drainage operative based around Bristol. You will work in a two-person team, operating jetting and vacuumation equipment to tackle blockages and drainage issues across the region.

Role requires HGV Class 2 licence (few penalty points) and a CPC is desirable; CSCS is advantageous. You will travel between depots and sites with overtime and a supportive pension scheme offered.

Qualifications

• HGV Class 2 licence with minimal points preferred.
• CPC is desirable.
• Proficient with data entry on electronic devices.

Responsibilities

• Operate jetting equipment and vacuumation units as part of a two-person team.
• Address drainage issues including blockages and emergency reactive work.
• Travel to various sites within the region; some travel time added to shifts.

• Location: Bristol
  
• Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week (weekend work as and when needed)
• Hourly rate: up to £17.50 dependent on experience
  

About the role:

You will be part of a two-person team, operating our high specification jetting equipment and vacuumation units. Work Projects, will include any drainage related issues, including blockage clearance, pipe cleansing programmes and emergency reactive works

Although you start at the depot, you will be mobile attending to all work activities, within various work sectors, including industrial, rail, utility, commercial, residential. Travelling in your vehicle you will be covering jobs throughout the region which can involve travel times added in addition.

Experience and qualifications required for the role:

• HGV Class 2 licence, with no more than 3 penalty points ideally
• A Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) is desirable
• Competent in using an electronic device – laptop / tablet for data entry.
• Physical fitness and lots of energy.
• An in date CSCS would be advantageous – however this could be obtained if necessary
