A Japanese financial institute is currently recruiting a Japanese-speaking Assistant Investment Manager to work in their London office.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing and assisting in the management of Money Market and Fixed Income funds, as well as performing operational tasks and compliance monitoring.

Assistant Investment Manager Main Responsibilities

• Providing discretionary investment management services
• Assisting to manage fixed income funds; trade cash deposits & short-term fixed income such as commercial paper, cash-flow management
• Monitoring portfolios for investment and regulatory compliance, cash maintenance, collateral checking
• Corresponding with the parent company in Tokyo, custodians, management companies, and fund accountants as required
• Fixed Income trading for some funds
• Back up Settlement administration for Fixed Income transactions
• Engagement in other operational tasks such as fund accounting, monitoring regulatory developments
• Assisting the Managing Director to ensure smooth business operations

Ideal Candidate

• More than 3 years of experience in the financial industry preferred
• Proficient verbal communication in English and Japanese
• Expertise in VBAs and related technologies
• Enthusiastic and diligent personality
• Possession of appropriate financial services exams, including UK regulatory modules and recent FCA approval
