Job summary

Yeovil College is seeking an IT Technician Apprentice for an 18-month fixed-term role based in Bath, Somerset. You will be the first contact for IT support, troubleshooting and resolving issues through the helpdesk while learning from an experienced IT team.

The position offers full-time hours (37 per week), a comprehensive apprentice salary, and opportunities for professional development within a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of configuring and troubleshooting Windows desktop PCs.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Confident to engage with internal and external customers to resolve issues.
• GCSE Grade A-C in Maths & English or equivalent ICT qualification at grade 4 or above.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Methodical and detail-oriented, with ability to prioritise workloads.

Responsibilities

• Be the first point of contact for staff and customers needing IT support.
• Troubleshoot issues and provide practical solutions via the helpdesk.
• Work with the advanced-tier IT team to gain hands-on experience.
