Job summary

Jago Consultants in the Washington area invites a friendly and experienced 1st/2nd Line IT Support Technician to join their busy in-house help desk, supporting users via remote technologies and on-site when required.

You will handle incoming helpdesk enquiries, assist the 1st Line team, and provide in-house support for more complex IT/Network/VOIP issues. You’ll also be hands-on with servers, desktops, routers, printers and bespoke applications.

Qualifications

• 2nd Line IT support experience required.
• MSP environment experience preferred.
• Proficient with Office 2010–2019 and Office 365 Admin.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Server 2008 and Exchange 2010–2019.
• Understanding of networking protocols and devices.

IT Support Technician – Washington area (occasional travel to other sites required)

I am working with client near Washington in Tyne and Wear who are looking to recruit a friendly and experienced 1st / 2nd Line IT Support Technician / Technical Support for their busy in-house help desk. To support all users via remote technologies.

As a Support Desk Technician you will be responsible for:

• Answering incoming helpdesk enquiries, and providing assistance to the 1st Line Support team to resolve customer issues
• Offering in-house support to more complex IT / Network / VOIP issues
• Server Configuration and monitoring

You will also be required to be hands on with all server and desktop products, as well as a variety of networking and other components I.E Routers, Printers and bespoke applications.

2nd Line IT Support Requirements:

For this position you will have previous experience working with the following:

• Previous experience working at 2nd Line level is required
• Experience working within an MSP environment would be preferably, but not essential
• Microsoft Office 2010 through to 2019 & Office 365 Administration
• Knowledge of Microsoft Server 2008
• Knowledge of Exchange 2010 / 2013 / 2016 / 2019
• An understanding of networking protocols and devices

As a Support Desk Technician you will be friendly and have great customer service skills with experience in a similar role.

Package:

This Support Desk Technician salary ranges is paying £25.5k (22k basic / 3.5k car allowance).
