A leading business consultancy in Nantgarw is looking for an IT Support Technician to provide essential 1st line technical support. This role involves assisting over 1000 users globally through multiple channels while maintaining high customer service standards. The ideal candidate should possess excellent communication skills and a solid knowledge of Microsoft Office. The position offers £12.21 per hour, with a hybrid working model requiring 4 days on-site per week, from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

IT Support Technician- Nantgarw - Hybrid - £12.21 per hour - IMMEDIATE START

The Opportunity

Yolk Recruitment has teamed up with a Business Consultancy who require a short term IT Support Technician who has great communication skills and is knowledgeable regarding Microsoft Office applications.

What the IT Support Technician will do

This role is responsible for 1st line technical support and related activities. The ideal IT Support Technician will be:

• Providing 1st line technical support to 1000+ users globally, answering support queries via phone, email and face-to-face while maintaining a high degree of customer service in line with ITIL best practice
• Logging incidents with our external 3rd party service providers
• Assisting in updating the IT Support knowledge bank
• Logging calls into our ticket management system, taking ownership of user problems and being proactive when dealing with their issues
• Allocating more complex calls to the relevant teams where appropriate
