Job summary

Babcock is hiring an IT Customer Support Specialist to join the team at RNAS Culdrose, Helston, Cornwall. You will bridge customers with IT teams, ensuring IT services, hardware, and classroom tech stay operational in a defence setting.

This role emphasises strong customer service, stakeholder engagement, and technical support across Windows and Microsoft environments, with SC clearance required for the position.

Qualifications

• Second-line IT support experience in a professional environment.
• Experience supporting users in a Windows and Microsoft technology environment.
• Strong customer service, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to build effective relationships with colleagues, customers and wider teams.
• Commercial awareness and understanding of delivering services within agreed standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day interface between customers, stakeholders and IT teams.
• Support delivery and maintenance of IT services, hardware and AV equipment.
• Inductions for new starters including hardware and user accounts.
• Configure and support training environments and classroom tech.
• Act as escalation point for local IT issues and events.
