Job summary

BMT Defence Services LTD in Bath is seeking an IT Support Technician to deliver high-quality technical support, respond to incidents and service requests, and keep IT services running smoothly in an ITIL-aligned environment.

You will work with colleagues across the business, describe technical concepts to non-technical users, contribute to knowledge base updates, and assist with system maintenance, deployments and security compliance, including exposure to UK MOD security environments.

Qualifications

• Solid understanding of IT hardware, software and networking fundamentals.
• Experience supporting Microsoft-based environments.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Awareness of ITIL principles and service improvement initiatives.
• Familiarity with UK MOD security environments is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Respond to incidents and service requests in a timely manner.
• Support incident, problem and change management processes in an ITIL-aligned environment.
• Participate in root cause analysis and documentation of findings.
• Assist with routine system maintenance, updates and deployments.
