Job summary

Babcock is recruiting an IT Customer Support Specialist to join the team at RNAS Culdrose, Helston, Cornwall. You will provide day-to-day IT support, liaising between customers, operational stakeholders and internal IT teams in a defence environment.

The role is a full-time onsite position (37.5 hours per week) with responsibilities spanning incident handling, hardware and classroom technology support, and stakeholder engagement while maintaining security and service standards.

Qualifications

• Experience providing second-line IT support within a professional environment.
• Experience supporting users in a Windows and Microsoft technology environment.
• Strong customer service, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to build effective relationships with colleagues, customers and wider business teams.
• Commercial awareness and an understanding of delivering services within agreed standards and expectations.

Responsibilities

• Supporting users with IT incidents and service requests, delivering an excellent customer experience.
• Acting as the escalation point for local operational IT issues and flying training events.
• Managing and maintaining IT hardware, software, telecommunications and audio-visual equipment across the site.
• Providing IT inductions for new starters, including preparing and deploying hardware and user accounts.
• Configuring and supporting training environments, including classroom technology and equipment deployments.
