Job summary

The Oil and Pipelines Agency is seeking an IT Analyst based at Garelochhead, Helensburgh, with a hybrid pattern of 2/3 days in the office. The role supports the IT infrastructure, resolves user issues, and contributes to system improvements in line with the IT Strategy.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years’ IT experience, a relevant IT qualification, and familiarity with Windows, Office 365, Active Directory, and basic networking. Occasional travel to other sites may be required.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years’ experience in a technical IT role (1st/2nd line support, desktop support or junior systems administration).
• Exposure to multi-site environments and remote support desirable.
• Relevant IT qualification or demonstrable experience in IT infrastructure.
• Ability to create and maintain documentation and records.

Responsibilities

• Ensure IT policies and security controls are followed and report issues to management.
• Support IT infrastructure, monitor performance and assist with changes.
• Coordinate with internal and external service providers as needed.
• Deploy and configure end-user hardware and software.
• Assist in IT projects and recovery documentation.
