DFDS UK & Ireland is hiring an IT Support Engineer to deliver first and second line IT support for users across the Jersey route locations and vessels. The role includes on-site office support, vessel deployments, and occasional site visits to Jersey and Poole, with involvement in documentation and IT projects.

You will handle hardware, software, and peripheral support, escalate where needed, and participate in an on-call rota.

Qualifikationen

• Two or more years' experience in IT support in a customer-focused environment.
• Ability to produce and maintain technical documentation.
• Able to work independently and on-call as required.
• Experience with computer and telephony systems is a plus.

Aufgaben

• Client support and technical issue resolution via email, phone, and other electronic mediums; assist in the local office as well as on the vessel in port when required.
• Providing technical support to users of all PC hardware, software, and peripherals within the business, including escalation to the appropriate IT Support staff.
• Maintenance and upkeep of existing PCs and peripherals.
• Installation and configuration of software to agreed standards, including deployment and redeployment of equipment.
• Contributing to and ensuring that Service Desk systems and software are kept up to date and feedback received promptly.
