Job summary

eRecruitSmart in Bracknell, UK is seeking an IT Support Engineer to join a hands-on team on a hybrid basis. The role covers first/second-line support, device setup, and managing access across systems, with focus on Microsoft 365, Intune and Entra ID.

The position is full-time, Monday to Friday, 9:00–17:30, based mainly in the Bracknell office with one flexible day working from home. Salary ranges from £32,000 to £35,000 per year, plus benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience in an IT support environment.
• Proficient with Windows; confident supporting macOS users.
• Experience setting up and troubleshooting computers, devices and peripherals.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 administration (user accounts, licensing, Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint).
• Strong problem-solving skills and logical investigation.
• Excellent communication and ability to explain technical issues to non-technical colleagues.
• Must reside in the UK and be eligible to work.

Responsibilities

• Provide first and second-line support across hardware, software, connectivity, printing, meeting rooms and mobile devices.
• Set up and configure laptops, desktops, phones and other equipment, including enrolling Windows devices using Microsoft Intune and Windows Autopilot and supporting Apple devices through MDM.
• Manage IT requirements for joiners, movers and leavers, including Microsoft Entra ID accounts, licences, groups, mailboxes, Teams access and MFA.
• Provision and manage access to business systems including NetSuite, Shopify and Sigma.
• Maintain the company's hardware asset register, warranties and stock of equipment.
• Support the 3CX telephony platform and provide first-line support for the company's UniFi office network.
• Monitor important operational data processes and investigate failed, rejected or mismatched records.
• Support GDPR requests, user-access reviews and good security practices around devices, access and account offboarding.
• Create clear internal documentation and identify repetitive or inefficient processes where improvements can be made.
