Job summary

Nexus Jobs is seeking an IT Support Analyst in Central London to provide 1st/2nd line support within a banking IT environment. You will troubleshoot Windows issues and manage AD, Citrix XenApps, Windows Server, VMware, backups, networking and DNS.

The role requires 5+ years in banking IT support, strong Windows and AD skills, and hybrid work with in-office presence of at least 3 days/week. 12-month fixed-term contract, salary competitive.

Qualifications

• We are looking for an IT Support Analyst with at least 5 years in 1st and 2nd line IT support in a banking environment.
• Strong Windows experience across versions and troubleshooting via research and knowledge bases.
• Advanced Active Directory experience including security groups, LDAP and ADSI.
• Experience administering Citrix XenApps server farms.
• Experience with Windows Server 2012/2016 design, deployment, maintenance and support.
• VMware virtualization experience and backups experience.
• Networking design, troubleshooting, VLANs, routing, switching, TCP/IP and OSI knowledge.
• PowerShell skills including backup tasks, Azure and EMC-related work.
• VPN administration and DNS administration experience internal and external.
• Market Data/Bloomberg experience is a strong advantage.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1st and 2nd line support within IT Support and Infrastructure environment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve Windows-related issues using research and knowledge bases.
• Administer and support Active Directory, Citrix XenApps, Windows Server, VMware, backups, networking, routers, PowerShell, VPNs and DNS.
• Support the banking environment as part of IT operations.
• Work in a hybrid arrangement, in office at least 3 days per week.
• Join on a 12-month full-time fixed-term contract.

Salary: £58,000 - 98,000 per year

Requirements:

• We are looking for an IT Support Analyst with at least 5 years of hands-on 1st and 2nd level IT Support and Infrastructure experience in a banking environment.
• We require strong Microsoft Windows experience across all versions, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues effectively through research and knowledge bases.
• We require advanced Active Directory experience, including security groups, administration and deployment, LDAP, and ADSI.
• We require experience administering, maintaining, and supporting Citrix XenApps server farms.
• We require experience with Windows Server 2012/2016 design, deployment, maintenance, and support.
• We require experience with VMware virtualisation environments.
• We require experience with backups using various applications.
• We require networking experience covering design, troubleshooting, and installation, including VLANs, routing, switching, TCP/IP, and OSI.
• We require experience with router maintenance, wireless configuration, installation, and setup.
• We require competent PowerShell skills, including backup, Azure, and EMC-related tasks.
• We require experience with VPN administration and deployment.
• We require DNS administration experience for both internal and external DNS.
• Experience supporting Market Data and Bloomberg would be a strong advantage.

More:

We are an established bank based in Central London offering a hybrid working arrangement with some remote working possible. This is an IT Support Engineer role with a salary of circa 40,000 to 50,000 on a full-time 12-month fixed-term contract initially.
