• We maintain the Avaya PABX system and ensure recording systems are operational.

Requirements:

• We are looking for an IT Senior Systems Support Engineer with ideally 5 to 7 years of experience in IT, preferably within the banking or financial industry.
• We require CCNP-level networking knowledge.
• We require experience with SolarWinds service desk software.
• We require experience with Palo Alto firewalls.
• We require experience with Firemon network security devices and policy management.
• We require experience with Avaya PABX systems.
• We require proficiency in common operating systems, including Windows 10, Windows Server 2016 and above, and Red Hat Linux.
• We require software proficiency with VMware v6.7 and above, Veeam Backup and Replication, Symantec Endpoint Protection, Symantec Endpoint Encryption, ManageEngine Patch Manager Plus, and Microsoft Office 365.
• We require networking knowledge of Cisco switches and routers, Palo Alto firewalls, and LAN/WAN routing.
• We require hardware experience with Dell PowerEdge servers and Dell PowerVault SAN storage.
• We require strong interpersonal skills.
• We require strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• We require strong stakeholder engagement skills.
• We require a Bachelors or Masters degree, or a professional qualification, in a relevant discipline such as IT, Information Systems, Computer Science, Technology, Programming, Information Science, System Engineering, or Computing.

Responsibilities:

• We work in a small team managing the day-to-day technology infrastructure to ensure the Bank can operate efficiently.
• We provide first-line support for software, hardware, and networking, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
• We manage day-to-day operational aspects of projects and scope.
• We design, plan, and deploy IT projects to enhance the existing IT infrastructure and any applications required by the Bank.
• We provide end-user computing support for all staff.
• We act as coordinator between London users and Group IT Security on all requests for systems access, ensuring permissions are provided promptly, updated regularly, and aligned with the Group Access Matrix Protocol.
• We preserve the Banks assets by implementing disaster recovery and backup procedures and ensuring standards comply with Group requirements.
• We provide IT support to ensure the smooth running of daily and periodic reports for the London Compliance team to support adherence to Anti Money Laundering provisions.
• We monitor networking equipment, including network switches, firewalls, and other appliances, and provide support.
• We plan and carry out maintenance checks to ensure IT operations and infrastructure run smoothly and daily routine tasks are completed.
• We maintain the Avaya PABX system and ensure the recording system is always operational.

We are a bank based in the City of London and are looking to recruit an IT Senior Systems Support Engineer. This is a permanent full-time role with some remote working possible, offering a salary of 55,000 to 65,000.
