Job summary

St Peters CofE Academy in Stoke-on-Trent is offering a Level 3 IT Solutions Technician Apprenticeship. You will gain hands-on experience supporting IT systems for staff and students, helping to maintain a secure and efficient digital learning environment.

You will work with a dedicated tutor, receive mentoring, and undertake training toward the Level 3 IT Solutions Technician qualification, with progress reviews as part of the programme.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems.
• Basic understanding of network infrastructures and wireless networks or willing to learn.
• Basic knowledge of cloud services.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day support, ensuring IT systems operate effectively for administration and teaching.
• Operate the IT helpdesk system and track issues with guidance from line manager.
• Carry out routine IT tasks and activities as delegated by the Line Manager.
• Provide support for IT hardware, software, network and operating system problems for staff and pupils.
• Assist in installing and maintaining hardware including network/servers/workstations/projectors.
