Wickersley Partnership Trust in the United Kingdom invites applications for an IT Technician Apprentice. You will gain hands-on experience by assisting with classroom ICT setups, troubleshooting issues, and supporting staff and students to keep learning uninterrupted.
Under supervision, you will install, maintain and repair hardware and software, manage backups, and follow safeguarding policies. A GCSE in Maths and English is preferred but can be completed during the apprenticeship.

As an IT Technician Apprentice, you will work under the guidance of experienced staff to provide first-line support across the academy. You will play a key role in minimising disruption to learning by ensuring our hardware and software are functioning correctly. From setting up equipment for lessons to troubleshooting technical glitches, you will gain hands-on experience and valuable qualifications in a supportive setting.
Installation & Maintenance: Under guidance, install, maintain, and repair computer hardware and software, conducting regular checks to ensure ICT areas are fully operational.
User Support: Provide first-line support to staff and students, setting up equipment and resolving technical issues quickly to minimise disruption to learning.
System Integrity: Maintain system security and efficiency by managing backups, archiving files, and following strict user protocols.
Safeguarding & Compliance: Ensure adherence to ICT policies, particularly regarding internet usage and safeguarding, and report any concerns immediately.
A minimum of GCSE Grade C/4 in Maths and English is preferred but not essential, as this can be completed during the apprenticeship.
