Position

We are seeking an experienced IT Manager to lead and coordinate our IT infrastructure and systems.

This is a hands-on leadership role, requiring a balance of technical expertise, project management, supplier negotiation, and business-focused IT strategy.

You will oversee IT operations, drive projects from initiation to completion, and ensure our technology environment aligns with business goals.

Requirements

  • Lead and manage the IT infrastructure, ensuring high availability, security, and performance of all systems and networks.
  • Coordinate and liaise with internal teams and external suppliers to deliver IT solutions that meet business needs.
  • Manage IT projects end-to-end, from planning and budgeting to execution, monitoring, and delivery.
  • Negotiate contracts and manage relationships with technology vendors, service providers, and partners.
  • Provide hands-on support where necessary, including system configuration, troubleshooting, and implementation of new technologies.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain IT policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Monitor IT budgets, procurement, and resource allocation to maximize efficiency and value.
  • Ensure compliance with data protection regulations, IT security standards, and internal policies.
  • Mentor, guide, and lead IT team members to develop skills and ensure effective team performance.

The above list of responsibilities is not exclusive or exhaustive and the post holder will be required to undertake such tasks as may reasonably be expected within the scope and grading of the post.

  • Proven experience in IT management or senior IT roles, ideally within a medium to large organization.
  • Strong experience in coordinating IT projects from start to finish.
  • Excellent negotiation and supplier management skills.
  • Hands-on experience with IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, cloud services, and security systems.
  • Ability to translate business needs into effective IT solutions.
  • Strong leadership, team management, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and project management capabilities.
  • Knowledge of IT compliance, cybersecurity, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Professional certifications (e.g., ITIL, PMP, Microsoft, Cisco) are advantageous.

Contracted Hours

37.5 hours per week to be performed 09:00 - 17:00 Monday to Friday

Location

Based at our Head Office in the centre of Stratford-upon-Avon, with the opportunity to work up to two days per week remotely on a hybrid basis.

Competitive based on experience
