Job summary

Paddle is hiring an IT Manager to lead a lean team, own identity and device management, and drive data‑driven automation across IT operations. You’ll manage budgets, vendor relationships, and security posture, while coaching engineers and shaping IT strategy.

This role combines hands‑on delivery with strategic leadership, in a remote UK environment. We value a growth mindset, collaboration, and a pragmatic approach to implementing baseline security and resilience.

Qualifications

• Led or managed a technical IT team with a track record of delivering outcomes.
• Strong systems administration and infrastructure fundamentals; escalation point for hard issues.
• Hands-on experience with IAM platforms in production, ideally Okta, including lifecycle automation and integrations.
• Deep knowledge of macOS and Apple hardware in enterprise environments.
• Interest in AI and automation as operational leverage with data/workflows.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a lean IT engineering team and set priorities.
• Own Okta identity lifecycle, integrations, and admin tasks.
• Manage macOS and Apple device management and endpoint tooling across the business.
• Promote data, automation, and AI to reduce manual toil and speed support.
• Set IT operating rhythm with tooling, SLAs, and performance metrics.
• Oversee IT budget and vendor portfolio, negotiate terms, optimize SaaS estate.
• Implement baseline security and resilience practices with Security team collaboration.
• Bridge IT needs with the rest of the business and translate requirements.
