Job summary

Paddle is seeking a Staff Systems Engineer to lead and innovate at the intersection of infrastructure, security, and automation. You’ll influence both Enterprise IT and Product environments, empowering global teams to operate securely and efficiently.

You’ll design and implement IaC, automate processes, and champion industry standards (CIS, SOC 2, PCI DSS) while mentoring peers and delivering high-impact projects that scale across our cloud-based infrastructure, primarily AWS.

Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on delivery in IT and security domains.
• Experience across security, networking, and automation.
• Strong cloud security expertise with AWS.

Responsibilities

• Lead initiatives to automate operational processes, increasing reliability, with a focus on scalability and security.
• Design, implement, and optimise integrations across IT and security systems.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code for identity, network, and security tooling, including CI/CD pipelines.
