Job description

As the IT Infrastructure Manager, you are responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the company's IT infrastructure and systems, including but not limited to Windows Servers, Active Directory, Entra, Networks, and Firewalls.

You will support the infrastructure architecture by providing technical expertise, applying design principles and methodologies to ensure cost-effective and optimal use of resources and technology. You will evaluate and design solutions to meet business and customer requirements and help develop the strategic direction. Ensuring that our infrastructure is implemented securely using guidance from NIST, NCSC, CIS, etc., and maintaining systems in support and compliance with security certifications are key responsibilities. Candidates should have experience in a similar environment with circa 1000+ users.

Responsibilities include:

1. Developing and implementing a strategic plan for IT infrastructure development that aligns with business needs and strategy.
2. Identifying opportunities to leverage technology for process and performance improvements.
3. Providing 3rd line support for infrastructure-related issues, managing internal and external resources for timely resolution.
4. Supporting the provision of business-specific solutions, ensuring standards for service and compliance are met.
5. Ensuring infrastructure availability and support, including servers, messaging (Microsoft Exchange, Exchange Online, Mail Filtering), telephony, networking, anti-virus (Sophos), backups (Arcserve), databases (SQL), printing, file storage, web filtering (Forcepoint), service monitoring (PTRG), Office 365, Microsoft Entra, and cloud migrations.

Experience required:

• Minimum 5 years in similar roles.
• Experience in an SME environment with circa 1000+ users.
• ITIL qualifications or equivalent experience.
• Industry-relevant qualifications such as MCSE.
• Outstanding problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with ISO27001:2022 standards.
• Experience with Windows Server cloud migrations.
