Job summary

Interface Recruitment is seeking an IT Assistant for 1st/2nd line IT support in Bradford, West Yorkshire. The role supports day-to-day IT activities while the IT Manager focuses on a major systems implementation.

You will be the first point of contact for users and coordinate with the external MSP for escalation or specialist help. The position is an 18-month fixed-term contract with hours 8am-4pm Mon-Thu and 8:30am-3:15pm Fri, and a salary dependent on experience.

Qualifications

• Previous IT support, service desk or technical support experience.
• Strong customer-service and communication skills.
• Experience managing tickets and prioritising multiple issues.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Windows-based devices.
• A basic understanding of networks and IT security.
• Experience working with MSP environments or supporting multi-site users is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-line hardware, software, access and connectivity support.
• Log, track and manage support tickets through to resolution.
• Liaise with the external MSP and monitor escalated incidents.
• Prepare and deploy laptops, desktops and peripherals.
• Support employee onboarding and offboarding.
• Maintain accurate IT asset records.
• Assist users with Microsoft 365 and core business applications.
• Create and update user guides, FAQs and IT documentation.
• Support IT projects, audits and improvement initiatives.
