Job description

Onsite IT Field Support Engineer who has good IT troubleshooting and user-facing skills is required to provide onsite deskside technical support for a multi award-winning Managed Service Provider.

SALARY: £32,000 - £34,000 per annum (depending on experience) with up to £2,000 Bonus + Benefits

LOCATION: Battersea, London (SW11)

You will be based on a client site in Battersea, London with travel once a month to regional sites in Evesham and Worcester. This will be 2 days per month with expenses reimbursed for travel and accommodation booked by the company.

JOB TYPE: Full-Time, Permanent

JOB OVERVIEW

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for an Onsite IT Field Support Engineer with strong troubleshooting and user-facing skills to provide onsite deskside technical support.

As the Onsite IT Field Support Engineer, you will provide desktop support, responding to first and second line service tickets.

You will work with a team and escalate issues as needed, contacting third-party vendors for warranty service or repairs.

DUTIES

Your responsibilities include:

  1. Resolving level 1 and 2 support cases related to end-user issues, infrastructure, and projects.
  2. Setting customer expectations during troubleshooting to ensure good service.
  3. Resolving incidents such as Mail Application/Office 365 issues, connectivity problems, VIP incidents, file restores, remote access issues, and password resets.
  4. Performing basic system maintenance, including patching and upgrades.
  5. Managing Active Directory (Entra ID), including user management, password resets, Group Policy, and onboarding/offboarding processes.
  6. Using support tools like RMM and InTune for device management.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

The ideal candidate will have:

  1. Experience supporting end-users remotely and onsite.
  2. Excellent client-facing skills.
  3. Good understanding of Windows OS and basic networking.
  4. A passion for helping others and the ability to explain technical issues simply.
  5. Flexibility for overnight stays at client sites.
