IT Support Engineer with 1st and 2nd Level Support
Our client is a successful bank with offices across Europe and the Middle East, seeking to recruit a 1st & 2nd Line IT Support Engineer for their Mayfair London office.
The ideal candidate will have at least 3 to 5 years of experience in 1st and 2nd level support, providing desktop and mobile support, supporting a user base of over 150, with 5-day onsite support, AV support, and other IT helpdesk tasks.
You will work alongside Infrastructure, Communications, iSeries, and Development Teams, contributing to projects such as new imaging processes and ITSM tools in 2024.
Main Skills and Responsibilities:
- Provide onsite IT support from Monday to Friday, 08:00am - 5:30pm (UK time).
- Support ad-hoc out-of-hours support during bank holidays and weekends on a rota basis.
- Perform troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and document solutions for the knowledge base.
- Support all aspects of client services, including workstation imaging, hardware configurations, software deployment, AD management, asset management, ticket management, and overall service delivery.
- Act as the primary contact for all IT queries, following ITIL best practices.
- Collaborate with colleagues across London, Europe, Jordan, and external vendors to resolve complex issues, especially during migration and lifecycle projects.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date IT data to meet audit requirements.
- Achieve SLA targets and contribute to a proactive support team.
- Support and educate users of varying IT knowledge levels.
- Provide high-standard support for VIPs, including C-level executives and department heads.
Technical Skills Required:
- Experience with Market Data, Bloomberg, Trader Support (preferred).
- Proficient in Microsoft Windows (all versions) troubleshooting and resolution.
- Experience with Active Directory, including security groups, LDAP, and deployment.
- Knowledge of Citrix XenApps administration and support.
- Experience with Windows Server environments (2012/2016).
- Networking skills, including DNS, DHCP, VLANs, TCP/IP, and OSI model.
- Moderate proficiency in PowerShell scripting.
- Understanding of VPN troubleshooting and support.
- Router maintenance, wireless configuration, and setup.
This is a 12-month fixed-term contract position with a negotiable salary between £30K and £40K. Interested candidates should send their CV in Word format, including salary expectations and notice period/availability.
