Job summary

MSC Industrial Supply Co is seeking an IT level 1 Support and Facilities/Operations partner in the UK. You will provide first-line support across IT, building facilities, and business operations to ensure teams have reliable systems and a productive working environment.

The role requires strong customer service, technical aptitude, and proactive problem solving. You will troubleshoot day-to-day hardware, software and network issues, document processes, and escalate when necessary.

Qualifications

• Provide first-line IT, facilities and operations support across IT systems and building facilities.
• Troubleshoot basic hardware, software, network and infrastructure issues.
• Document solutions and actions in the ticketing system and share knowledge.
• Support asset management and workplace devices, including deployment.
• On-call availability for 24/7 rota coverage.

Responsibilities

• IT level 1 support including service desk and end-user assistance.
• Respond to IT support requests via phone, email, or ticket system promptly.
• Provide guidance on IT enquiries, including password resets and software installs.
• Escalate complex issues to Level 2/3 support when needed.
• Maintain documentation and contribute to knowledge base.
• Assist with facilities, equipment and infrastructure maintenance and safety.
