Job summary

MSC Industrial Supply Co in the United Kingdom is seeking a Business Facilities & IT Ops Support to deliver first-line IT and facilities assistance. You’ll ensure end-user devices, software and infrastructure run smoothly, while also supporting building operations and maintenance.

You will handle service desk duties, basic troubleshooting, asset management and room setup, with a focus on customer service and proactive problem-solving. On-call work and growth opportunities exist within MSC.

Qualifications

• Experience providing first-line IT and facilities support in an enterprise environment.
• Strong customer service skills with a proactive problem-solving mindset.
• Ability to troubleshoot basic hardware, software and infrastructure issues.
• Familiarity with ticketing systems and end-user assistance processes.

Responsibilities

• Provide IT level 1 support including service desk and end-user assistance.
• Troubleshoot basic hardware, software, network and peripheral issues.
• Monitor and maintain IT assets, devices and software licensing compliance.
• Support facilities tasks: equipment, room setup, and preventive maintenance scheduling.
• Assist with health, safety and compliance activities and audits.
• Be on-call to support 24/7 operations on a rota basis.
