Job summary

Qualifications

• Relevant experience in relation to the job description.
• IT literate with practical experience of Windows software (Word, Excel, etc.).
• Incident and problem management skills within an IT environment.
• Understanding of NHS data standards and NHS data items.
• Understanding of equality and diversity issues and how this affects patients, visitors and staff.
• Good interpersonal and explanatory skills with IT users of varying ability.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Competent with Microsoft Windows and MS Office collaboration software.
• Ability to set clear priorities amid conflicting demands and deadlines.
• Excellent customer-friendly telephone manner.
• Advanced keyboard skills.

Responsibilities

• Form part of the IT Incident and Service Request processes and handle queries and incidents.
• Provide first and second-line support, managing tickets through to resolution.
• Keep up to date with service level agreements and processes to ensure efficient delivery.
• Ensure IT equipment for installation is prepared and tested per IT standards.
• Ensure deliveries of computer equipment are content accurate and in good condition.
• Provide start-up training to new users and raise awareness of IT policies.
• Contribute to IT development projects to meet timelines and budgets.
• Assist with deployments and desktop hardware/software replacement programmes.
