Job summary

Catering in Rugby is seeking an IT Desktop Support contractor to oversee IT systems and assets, assist with upgrades and fixes, and provide training and support as needed. The role requires knowledge of computer hardware, software, and network maintenance, helping improve efficiency and growth.

You will serve new commercial sites, support workplace IT needs, and act as an IT concierge for end users across the campus. The position is 6 months, 37 hours per week, paying £30-£35 per hour.

Qualifications

• Experience in IT operations support.
• Strong customer-facing communication.
• Ability to work across multiple sites.
• Experience with Windows/macOS environments.
• Familiarity with IT security policies.

Responsibilities

• Serving new commercial sites with network installation and connectivity.
• Supporting commercial sites with workplace IT issues.
• Provide end-user troubleshooting and IT concierge service.
• Respond to issues by phone, email, in person, or chat.
• Determine best troubleshooting solutions based on issue details.
• Walk customers through troubleshooting steps.
• Be focal point for local IT issues including client, mobility, wireless, AV, conference room, Telepresence and connectivity.
• Maintain/incidents in ticket queue.
• Partner with Digital Workplace Solutions Team on new technology introduction projects.
• Onsite hands and eyes support for other IT teams.
• Ensure policies and standards related to IT security and compliance are met.
• Deliver customer service approach for IT support for corporate and onsite clients.
• Analyze and resolve complex hardware/software issues.
• Communicate policies and procedures to customers.
• Establish working relationships with customers.
• Identify and resolve problems in stressful situations.
• Communicate technical information to audiences at all levels.
• Be a participative member of various teams.
• Perform other duties as specified by leadership.
