Job summary

1st Executive Ltd in Glasgow is seeking an IT Category Manager to lead Technology & IT Services procurement for a major banking client. You will own spend portfolios, develop category strategies, and lead complex sourcing projects to secure robust contracts.

Hybrid role requiring minimum 12 office days per month, with a £6k car allowance, 30 days holiday plus bank holidays, private medical insurance, and a path to impact value through supplier consolidation and savings.

Qualifications

• Must have proven Technology or IT Services procurement experience within a global organisation.
• Strong negotiation skills and ability to influence stakeholders in a complex environment.
• Experience with supplier performance management and contract lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Own Technology and IT Services spend portfolio and develop category strategies.
• Lead complex sourcing projects and negotiate robust contracts.
• Identify savings and value throughout the contract lifecycle.
• Build stakeholder relationships and influence sourcing decisions.
• Strengthen supplier performance across cost, quality and compliance.
• Support financial planning, forecasting and budget management.
