Job summary

1st Executive Ltd in Glasgow is seeking an IT Category Manager to lead Technology & IT Services procurement for a major banking client. You will own spend portfolios, develop category strategies, and lead complex sourcing projects to secure robust contracts.

Hybrid role requiring minimum 12 office days per month, with a £6k car allowance, 30 days holiday plus bank holidays, private medical insurance, and a path to impact value through supplier consolidation and savings.

The opportunity

Taking ownership of a Technology and IT Services spend portfolio, you'll:

Develop category strategies aligned with technology priorities and global colleagues.

Build stakeholder relationships and influence sourcing decisions.

Strengthen supplier performance across cost, quality and compliance.

Support financial planning, forecasting and budget management.

What you'll bring

Proven Technology or IT Services procurement experience within a global organisation, strong negotiation skills and confidence managing complex contracts. You'll combine commercial judgement with financial insight and the ability to influence stakeholders.

Financial Services or regulated-sector experience is advantageous, as is CIPS qualification.
