Job summary

1st Executive Ltd in Milton Keynes is seeking an IT Category Manager to drive technology and IT services procurement within a major banking group’s transformation. You will own spend categories, lead sourcing projects, and negotiate strategic contracts to unlock value and efficiency.

The role demands strong negotiation, financial insight, and stakeholder influence, with a hybrid working model and a £6k car allowance. UK-based candidates with RTW are preferred.

Qualifications

• Proven Technology or IT Services procurement experience within a global organisation.
• Strong negotiation skills and confidence managing complex contracts.
• Ability to combine commercial judgement with financial insight and influence stakeholders.
• Experience in Financial Services or regulated sectors is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Develop category strategies aligned with technology priorities and global teams.
• Lead complex sourcing projects and negotiate robust contracts.
• Identify savings and value throughout the contract lifecycle.
• Build stakeholder relationships and influence sourcing decisions.
• Strengthen supplier performance across cost, quality and compliance.
• Support financial planning, forecasting and budget management.
