Job summary

1st Executive is seeking a Category Manager - Technology for a 12-month fixed-term contract in Belfast. The role is hybrid, requiring three days per week in the office.

You will focus on IT procurement, primarily software and cloud spend, and work closely with the senior manager to ensure value and performance in supplier contracts. The ideal candidate has proven IT procurement experience, strong stakeholder management, and a proactive, commercially minded approach with excellent analytical

Are you a IT procurement professional looking for the flexibility of a fixed term contract role and hybrid working?

We're looking for a professional with IT (Software) Procurement experience from any industry background to join a growing procurement function in Belfast for 12 months cover.

What you'll be doing:

• Working closely with the senior manager - Leading and supporting with IT procurement activity across mainly Software, Cloud spend categories.
• Negotiating and managing IT supplier contracts to maximise value and performance.
• Partnering with stakeholders to understand business needs and deliver commercially effective solutions and strategic input.
• Using data and insights to identify opportunities, measure savings and support informed strategic decision-making.

What we're looking for:

• Proven experience IT (Software or Cloud) procurement
• Strong stakeholder management, negotiation and influencing skills.
• Experience managing IT suppliers and commercial contracts.
• A proactive, commercially minded approach with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
