Job description

With a commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences and cutting-edge technology solutions, they are seeking passionate and motivated individuals to join the team as an IT Apprentice in the Desktop Team.

As an IT Apprentice, working as part of the Global Data Centre team, the IT DC Infrastructure Apprentice will play an essential role in the continuous functioning of computer hardware, software, networks, as well as the power, cooling, and physical security of the infrastructure within the UK Data Centres.

In this role, you’ll work towards your IT Support Level 3 apprenticeship, delivered by our expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships.

A Typical Day in the Job:

1. Installing, configuring, and repairing IT Hardware located within the UK Data Centres
2. Providing support for VMWare and SAN environments
3. Installing network cabling
4. Dealing with external suppliers
5. Managing and updating the Data Centre Inventory Management System
6. Shadowing the Data Centre facilities management team to support power, cooling, and physical security systems within the Data Centres

Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and from the Baltic team.

Your Training with Baltic Apprenticeships

This Level 3 apprenticeship provides comprehensive training to immerse you in the exciting world of technology and to help you launch a rewarding career in IT.

You’ll gain hands-on experience in all areas of technical support, from device configuration to software support, performance optimization, and virtual environment setup. Our curriculum and one-to-one support will help you develop skills and confidence to thrive in IT.

You’ll be based full-time with an employer and will quickly become an integral part of the team. Our training is 100% online, including real-time classes with expert trainers and self-paced courses created by industry specialists.
