A&O Shearman in London is seeking a BD Manager - IP Litigation to join the Marketing team. You will translate strategy into tactical plans, support pitches, events, and thought leadership, and work closely with partners to win new clients and expand existing relationships.

The role covers market profiling, campaigns, client targeting, data hygiene in Dynamics, and collaboration across the MST. Strong communication, BD experience in professional services, and interest in IP, tech or life sciences

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
• Proven experience executing business development activities in professional services.
• Interest in the IP litigation market and client needs; tech or life sciences exposure is a plus.
• Intellectual curiosity and proactive approach to shaping BD activities.
• Strong project management and stakeholder management; clear client-facing writing.
• Comfortable with data and CRM systems (Dynamics) and pipeline management.
• Highly organized, proactive and able to manage multiple priorities to deadlines.

Responsabilités

• Support day-to-day BD for the IP Litigation practice, translating strategy into tactical plans.
• Assist with pitches, events, directories, campaigns and thought leadership.
• Coordinate client targeting, client plans and meeting records; maintain data quality in Dynamics.
• Manage market profile, content and campaigns; coordinate newsletters and awards submissions.
• Collaborate with Marketing Services on events and external opportunities.
• Contribute to planning and execution of approved business plans and track ROI.
