THE FIRM

Global investment manager with a focus on investments in natural capital. The firm seeks to invest in growing, specialist markets arising off the back of the macroeconomic trends around the world. Sectors of interest include forestry, regenerative agriculture, aquaculture and more. The team in London is looking to hire an Investment Analyst or Investment Associate to work on investments and asset management.

THE ROLE

The new Investment Analyst / Investment Associate will be an integral member of the London team with exposure across the full life cycle of investments; primarily working on transactions but also supporting on the asset management.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Research, analyse and evaluate a variety of investment opportunities
  • Perform valuation analysis and build dynamic financial models to analyse investment opportunities
  • Perform due diligence on the investment opportunities
  • Meet with company management and review past performance, strategy, outlook, regulatory and industry issues
  • Assist in preparing and presenting investment recommendations to the firm's investment committee
  • Assist in the overall execution of transactions
  • Liaise with investment partners, strategic partners and advisors (financial, commercial, legal, etc.)
  • Monitor ongoing financial and operational performance of portfolio companies
THE CANDIDATE

The firm would like to hire high quality individuals who possess intellectual curiosity about the world and how it is changing.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Between 2 - 4 years of experience in investment banking, corporate finance, private equity or consulting
  • Strong research, financial modelling, analytical and valuation skills
  • Preferred experience investing in relevant sectors e.g. natural capital, biodiversity, energy transition
  • A demonstrated ability to write and present effectively
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to thrive in a lean, entrepreneurial setting
  • Intellectual curiosity and interest in sustainability and global megatrends
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Degree in finance, accounting, or other relevant business degrees
  • Written and oral fluency in English and ideally one other European language
