Job summary

Paxton Personnel Ltd is recruiting an experienced Project Manager for a well-established main contractor in Inverness. You will oversee construction projects from planning to handover, ensuring safety, programme, budget and quality.

Join a team with a strong Highlands presence, delivering high-quality projects across Scotland. You will coordinate site teams, subcontractors and the commercial function, with clear pathways for professional development and progression.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Project Manager within the construction industry.
• Experience delivering large-scale building projects (commercial, industrial, education, healthcare).
• Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Understanding of budgets, cost control and contractual requirements.
• Knowledge of health and safety legislation and best practices.
• Willingness to travel and relocate within the Highlands.

Responsibilities

• Oversee construction projects from pre-construction and planning through to handover.
• Ensure delivery safely, on time, within budget and to quality standards.
• Develop and manage programmes, monitor progress and anticipate delays.
• Coordinate site managers, subcontractors, suppliers and consultants.
• Monitor project costs, budgets, forecasts and financial performance with the commercial team.
• Mentor site management teams and oversee quality control, inspections and snagging.
