Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead construction projects within the Morrison Construction team in Inverness. The role will oversee all aspects of project delivery, ensuring safety, quality, profitability, and client satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Lead the bid team for new work, providing technical and financial input to tender submissions.
• Manage day‑to‑day liaison with external supply chain partners, consultants, and customers.
• Control the financial performance of the project, safeguarding profitability while delivering maximum service.
• Maintain and enforce safety standards, statutory sustainability, and environmental requirements.
• Oversee production from contract award to completion of defects certificates and EOD liability sign‑off.
• Exercise commercial control, optimise profitability, and ensure compliance with the Business Management System.
• Prepare clear reports for internal stakeholders and clients.
• Foster effective relationships with all external parties and champion the company’s partnering ethos.

Qualifications

• Experience working within the construction industry on design‑and‑build, new build, and refurbishment projects.
• Significant experience managing multi‑site projects valued over £10 million.
• Hold or be moving toward a professional qualification (HNC, ONC, or equivalent).
• Strong team‑leading and organisational skills.
• Experience managing client staff, subcontractors, and all build‑process aspects.
• Excellent communication abilities.
• Ability to interpret designs and specifications and enforce compliance.
• Academic qualification accepted; trade background acceptable, with professional body membership an advantage.
