Job summary

DHL Supply Chain in Skelmersdale is seeking an Inventory Control Clerk to maintain stock accuracy across a busy warehouse operation. The role focuses on stock control, investigations of variances, and supporting efficient processes to serve customers.

You will be highly organized, detail-focused and capable of working with minimal supervision while using your initiative. This is a permanent full-time position offering stability and growth within a global leader in logistics.

Qualifications

• Experience in inventory/stock control within a warehouse environment.
• Strong IT skills including Excel and Warehouse Management Systems.
• Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues across departments.
• Keen eye for detail and ability to work unsupervised while taking initiative.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain stock control processes to ensure stock integrity and system accuracy.
• Carry out stock counts, reconciliations, and investigate discrepancies.
• Update and maintain the Warehouse Management System (WMS) in line with stock movements.
• Check inbound goods and manage customer returns in accordance with DHL and customer processes.
• Liaise with internal teams and communicate with customers regarding stock queries.

Pay Rate: £28,000.00
Grade: RCS P
Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time)
Shift patterns: 4 on, 4 off Day Shift 06:00 - 17:30
Location: Skelmersdale - WN8 8DY

Join our Skelmersdale team as an Inventory Control Clerk and play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of stock across our busy warehouse operation.

You'll be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, investigating stock variances, and supporting efficient warehouse processes that help deliver excellent service to our customers.

A TYPICAL DAY MAY INVOLVE

• Manage and maintain stock control processes to ensure stock integrity and system accuracy

THIS ROLE WOULD SUIT PEOPLE WHO

• Previous experience working in an inventory/stock capacity within a warehouse environment
• Strong IT skills - experience of Microsoft Office including Excel and Warehouse Management Systems
• Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues across different departments
• A keen eye for detail with the ability to work unsupervised whilst using own initiative
