Job summary

DHL Supply Chain in Skelmersdale is seeking an Inventory Control Clerk to ensure stock accuracy across our busy warehouse operation. You will maintain inventory records, investigate variances and support efficient processes that help deliver excellent service to customers.

If you’re highly organised, detail-focused and IT‑savvy, this permanent full‑time role offers stability and a clear path for growth within a global logistics leader. Shift pattern is 4 on, 4 off, 06:00–17:30.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working in an inventory/stock capacity within a warehouse environment
• Strong IT skills - experience of Microsoft Office including Excel and Warehouse Management Systems
• Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues across different departments
• A keen eye for detail with the ability to work unsupervised whilst using own initiative

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain stock control processes to ensure stock integrity and system accuracy
• Carry out stock counts, reconciliations, and investigate any discrepancies
• Update and maintain the Warehouse Management System (WMS) in line with stock movements
• Check inbound goods and manage customer returns in accordance with DHL and customer processes
• Liaise with internal teams and communicate with customers regarding stock queries
