Job summary

Confidential in Inverness is seeking an Internal Sales Executive to support customers, generate sales opportunities and help drive branch performance. You will work closely with colleagues, suppliers and customers to ensure enquiries are handled efficiently while delivering outstanding service.

Ideal candidates will have customer service or internal sales experience, excellent written and verbal communication, and a proactive, relationship‑building approach.

Qualifications

• Previous customer service, sales support or internal sales experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• A positive, proactive and enthusiastic attitude.
• Strong relationship-building and interpersonal skills.
• Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
• A results-driven approach and willingness to learn.
• Confidence working in a customer-focused environment.
• Competent IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and submitting quotations via email and telephone.
• Responding to customer enquiries and providing product support.
• Proactively following up quotations and enquiries to maximise sales opportunities.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with existing and prospective customers.
• Tracking customer orders and liaising with suppliers to ensure timely delivery.
• Processing sales orders and maintaining accurate customer records.
• Supporting customer visits and relationship-building activities when required.
• Delivering a high standard of customer service at all times.
• Contributing to the overall growth and success of the branch.
