Job summary

Kingscroft Professional Resources is seeking an Internal Sales professional for a fast-paced manufacturing business. You will act as the focal point for customer orders, coordinating with external sales teams and with engineering, manufacturing, quality and dispatch.

You will handle day-to-day queries, provide product information and pricing, build quotes, and process orders. The role emphasizes proactive costing, quotes, and timely order progression to support growth.

Qualifications

• Experience in Customer Account Management or Internal Sales in a manufacturing/engineering setting.
• Ability to liaise between customers, external sales teams and engineering, manufacturing, quality and dispatch.
• Strong organisational and proactive costing, quoting and order progression skills.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary point of contact for day-to-day customer queries, requests, and issues.
• Respond to telephone, email, and online enquiries promptly and professionally.
• Provide customers with product information, pricing, lead times, and order updates.
• Able to build a quote from material selection through to delivery.
• Build strong, positive relationships with existing and potential customers.
• Prepare and issue quotations based on customer needs and company pricing guidelines.
• Follow up on quotes to convert leads and maximise sales opportunities.
• Support external sales representatives with account management and follow-ups.
• Identify upselling or cross-selling opportunities where appropriate.
• Process sales orders accurately, ensuring all details are correct and captured in the system.
• Liaise with production, purchasing, logistics, and finance teams to ensure timely fulfilment of customer orders.
• Maintain customer records and update CRM or ERP systems.
• Monitor stock levels and communicate availability or delays to customers.
• Handle customer complaints or issues in a professional and timely manner.
• Investigate and resolve delivery, product, or invoice discrepancies.
• Ensure solutions meet both customer expectations and company policies.
