Job summary

Jobsinkent is seeking an experienced Internal Account Manager to join our established team in Aylesford. The role focuses on owning and developing existing customer accounts, building strong relationships, identifying opportunities, and delivering a consistently high level of service.

This predominantly office-based role includes occasional customer visits, full training on bespoke systems, and a supportive team environment designed to help you hit targets and advance your product and industry

Qualifications

• Previous internal account management experience is required.
• Experience in manufacturing, water, food, ports/aviation or other B2B environments is relevant.
• Confident in managing and developing customer relationships and meeting targets.
• Comfortable using computer systems and learning bespoke software.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills to work with colleagues and customers.

Responsibilities

• Own and develop existing customer accounts and build strong relationships.
• Identify opportunities and drive revenue while delivering excellent service.
• Visit customers approximately once per quarter to deepen understanding of needs.
• Collaborate with internal teams to support customers and improve processes.
• Be proactive in learning products and systems to better support accounts.

Internal Account Manager

Aylesford

• £40,000 + Commission

We're looking for an experienced Internal Account Manager to join an established team based in Aylesford.

This is an exciting time to join the business. There have been some recent changes within the team, with a focus on developing the way the department operates and bringing fresh ideas and energy into an experienced, long-standing team.

You’ll take ownership of existing customer accounts, building strong relationships, identifying opportunities and ensuring customers receive a consistently high level of service.

The role

This is a predominantly office-based account management position, working closely with customers and internal teams to manage and develop existing accounts.

You’ll also have the opportunity to visit existing customers approximately once a quarter, helping to strengthen relationships and gain a deeper understanding of their requirements.

The business uses bespoke systems, but full training will be provided, so you don’t need to have experience with specific software. You’ll need to be comfortable working with systems and willing to learn.

Likewise, comprehensive product knowledge training will be provided.

What we’re looking for

Previous internal account management experience is the priority. We’re open-minded about the type of industry or background you come from, provided you have the right account management skills, commercial awareness and attitude.

Experience within any of the following sectors would be particularly relevant:

• General manufacturing


• Water companies


• Food manufacturing


• Ports or aviation


• Other technical, industrial or B2B environments

You’ll ideally be someone who is:

• Confident managing and developing customer relationships


• Commercially minded and comfortable working towards targets


• Organised and able to manage multiple accounts


• Comfortable using computer systems and learning bespoke software


• Proactive, adaptable and open to new ways of working


• A strong communicator who works well with colleagues and customers


• Keen to develop their product and industry knowledge

What’s on offer?

• £40,000 basic salary + commission


• Commission linked to company and divisional revenue targets


• A yearly stretched target will be in place, with any missed monthly payments being recoverable at year-end where the annual target is achieved


• 25 days' annual leave + bank holidays

Salary will be commensurate with experience.
