Your Role and Responsibilities

As an Intermediate Mechanical Design Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the design lifecycle, working alongside Senior and Principal Engineers.

• Work on detailed design and calculation of HVAC, public health, and mechanical services for prestigious commercial and mixed–use projects.

• Produce technical reports, specifications, and system schematics from concept (RIBA Stage 2) through to construction documentation (RIBA Stage 4/5).

• Utilise industry–standard software (e.g., Hevacomp, IES, Revit) to deliver energy–efficient and low–carbon solutions.

• Engage directly with clients and external project teams (architects, structural engineers) on design strategy and coordination.

What We Are Looking For (Essential Skills)

• A minimum of 3–5 years of experience in Mechanical Design Engineering within a UK–based Building Services consultancy.

• Design experience within the Commercial and Mixed–Use sectors.

• Proficiency in Revit MEP for model authoring and coordination is highly desirable.

• Working knowledge of UK building regulations and sustainability standards (Part L, BREEAM, WELL).

• A relevant degree in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.
