Job summary

OKA Newcastle is recruiting a part-time Interior Sales Advisor (24 hours per week) to join our Retail Team. Based at OKA Newcastle, you will provide exceptional customer service, advise on products and help maximise sales while delivering friendly, luxury service.

You will work on the sales floor, process EPOS transactions accurately, support store presentation and assist with events and training when required. Experience in luxury retail and a passion for interiors are essential.

Qualifications

• Luxury retail experience, ideally in furniture/homeware.
• Passion for best-in-class customer service and building relationships.
• Proven soft selling skills including cross-selling.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to OKA customers.
• Advise on products in person and via phone.
• Generate and maximise revenue to meet sales targets.
• Execute EPOS transactions accurately.
• Identify sales opportunities.
• Promote OKA In-Store Design Advisors and IDS services.
• Be a proactive member of the sales floor team and uphold store presentation standards.

We are currently looking to recruit a part-time Interior Sales Advisor (24 hours per week) to support our Retail Team, based at in OKA Newcastle. OKA Newcastle is located on Fenwick's renowned furniture floor, the OKA space showcases a considered edit of furniture, homeware, textiles and lighting, designed to help create homes full of character, comfort and individuality.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provision of exceptional customer service to OKA customers
• Providing advice and guidance on products to customers in person and via phone
• Generating and maximising revenue to meet sales targets
• Efficient and accurate execution of EPOS transactions, processing of payments and associated transactional paperwork and processes
• Identifying sales opportunities
• Promoting the OKA In-Store Design Advisors and Interior Design Service (IDS)
• Being a proactive member of the sales floor team: greeting all customers and offering assistance, managing customer returns, communicating care and maintenance instructions for customer purchases, upholding presentation standards for the Store and back-office areas

ABOUT YOU

• Previous luxury retail experience, ideally within the furniture or homeware sectors
• Passion for providing best-in-class customer service and building lasting customer relationships
• Proven soft selling skills, including link-selling of complimentary products
• Good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise
• Flexible approach to working weekends, public holidays and occasional travel to support other Stores and for meetings and training
• Target-driven
• Keen interest and enthusiasm for beautiful interiors
