Job summary

Spire Nottingham Hospital is seeking an Interim Theatre Scheduler for a 12‑month assignment. You will support the Capacity & Utilisation Manager to improve utilisation of theatre sessions and maximise patient throughput and revenue.

You will work with multidisciplinary teams to ensure resources meet scheduled cases, handle bookings, data input and communications, and chair capacity meetings in the manager's absence.

Qualifications

• Experience in healthcare or customer‑facing roles.
• Strong problem solving and prioritisation skills.
• Able to collaborate with multi‑disciplinary teams to resolve issues.

Responsibilities

• Support Capacity & Utilisation Manager to maximise theatre sessions and revenue.
• Ensure resources are available to support assigned cases.
• Collaborate on short and long‑term capacity planning for theatre, endoscopy, and Cath lab.
• Support delivery of site AOP, admissions targets, and revenue performance.
• Highlight concerns that may affect patient flow or revenue.
• Assist with theatre off duty completion and distribution.
• Act as chair in absence of the Capacity & Utilisation Manager and lead capacity meetings.
• Be main point of contact for lists, concerns and escalations in absence of manager.
• Perform administrative tasks including booking allocation, data input and email communications.
