Job summary

Brava Education is partnering with a Leicestershire primary school to appoint an Interim Teaching and Learning Leader from January 2027. The role blends hands-on teaching in an EYFS/KS1 class with leadership duties to bolster teaching and learning ahead of an Ofsted inspection.

You will support the Headteacher, coach colleagues, and act as Deputy DSL while delivering classroom instruction four days a week and maintaining strong SEND support in a small school setting.

Qualifications

• Experience at Assistant Headteacher or Key Stage Leader level.
• Strong track record of improving teaching and learning.
• Excellent EYFS/KS1 teaching experience and willingness to remain hands-on in the classroom.
• Confidence supporting pupils with complex SEND needs.
• Ability to coach and support colleagues to develop their practice.
• DSL and Ofsted experience would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Teach an EYFS/KS1 class four days a week, with time for PPA and leadership responsibilities.
• Help develop teaching and learning across the school and prepare for Ofsted.
• Work closely with the nursery team to support continuity and development.
• Act as Deputy DSL and coach colleagues to strengthen their practice.
