Job summary

Brava Education is assisting a Leicestershire primary school in recruiting an Interim Teaching and Learning Leader to support the Headteacher from January 2027. The role combines classroom teaching with hands-on leadership to strengthen teaching and learning across the school.

You will teach EYFS/KS1 four days a week, with PPA and leadership time, and work with the nursery team to ensure continuity for pupils, including those with complex SEND needs.

Qualifications

• Assistant Headteacher or KS Leader level experience.
• Proven track record of improving teaching and learning.
• Excellent EYFS/KS1 teaching experience and hands-on classroom practice.
• Confident supporting pupils with complex SEND.
• Ability to coach and support colleagues to develop practice.
• DSL and Ofsted experience would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead teaching and learning improvements across the school.
• Support the Headteacher in strengthening teaching and learning.
• Prepare for Ofsted inspections and drive school improvement.
• Teach an EYFS/KS1 class four days a week with PPA time.
• Act as Deputy DSL and coach colleagues to enhance practice.
